Fall, in love.
The Autumn Equinox, twelve hours of the day and twelve hours of the night, in equal balance. Autumn is always welcomed, although each season holds its magic. The change every few months is what I enjoy most.
Humble visitors are invited to observe
Ron and I often take morning hikes in the Santa Fe National Forest Mountains. We like to pack an egg taco and a thermos of coffee and stop for breakfast in a quiet spot that “feels” right—enjoying our picnic immersed in a private ecosystem— humble visitors lucky to be welcomed to observe. To be present in the middle of thousands of Aspens, Ponderosa, Pinon trees, grasses and wildflowers, a self-sustaining natural habitat that asks for nothing in return. To take in the rich autumn red, sun-dabbled golden and orange turmeric hues, fresh earthy forest scents, and the chatter of delicate leaves talking with the wind. These heightened observations include inspired candle scents, restaurant menus, and the interior designer’s color of the year.
Choose to Participate
The season is shifting. Choose to participate. Find yourself a forest, a park, or simply your own backyard. Nature is available and waiting for you to notice. If you choose to allow it, it will bring you balance and healing. Invite Fall’s awe-inspiring presence to romance you. Fall in love with the healing comfort and magical connection to something much bigger than everyday concerns and worries. Connect to this greater intelligence and sense the ‘coming home’ feeling of life’s flow.

NATURE HEALS
One of the quickest, surest ways I know to get reconnected with my body and its natural ability to self-heal is to spend time in nature. Go outside. Maybe it’s just walking to your car at the end of the day and feeling the fresh air on your face, looking up at the blue sky—or the rain, or the snow, or the swirling clouds— and magically feeling connected to it all. The Earth creates a sense of balance and healing. Let nature do its work. Heal yourself.
AFFIRM: I spend time in nature. I experience healing and rejuvenation.
