As a young girl growing up in Kansas, I understood how farmer’s watched the moon cycles. They use a guidebook, the Farmer’s Almanac that publishes a yearly moon phase calendar. It’s a guide for them to know when to plant and when to harvest their crops.

To use a field of crops as an example, the seedling begins to grow and with results you may have the urge to rush ahead and pick a vegetable that is not quite ripe. I feel whether it's working in your garden bed or manifesting any new intention-- we need to learn to work with the right timing and to be patient with the phases.

It’s not just farmer’s who tap into the moon’s phases. Sailors watch the tides in relationship to the moon’s phase and spiritual calendars are set in sync with them too.
