A Zen Space Creates Peace From Within

rock collection from a recent beach trip

This morning, I decided to create a Zen moment. Instead of my usual second cup of coffee, I opted for a matcha green tea latte. Its earthy aroma and nourishing taste were just what I needed. I lit a stick of incense, put on one of my writing playlists, and reflected on peace. When I feel peace, I feel balanced, in the middle way.

I believe peace is within us. We can’t find it outside of ourselves, but we can create a sacred space that makes it feel more accessible.

Feeling peace within

Try this now. Bring your awareness to your breath. Feel your inhalation fill your body, and your exhalation empty your body. Create a longer exhalation. As you watch your breath (for just a few minutes), you begin to cultivate an innate natural inner stillness. In this quiet, still space, you give yourself more clarity, compassion, and peace to move through your day.

Feeling peace around us

Do you currently have a space that you consider 'sacred'? If not, do you long for a quiet, peaceful, and holy place in your space (and your soul)?
