Magic: A Supernatural Power Shows Up

A Moment of Magic, one to one session.jpg

Last Friday morning held a bit of magic. I was in the middle of a one-to-one session with Lucy when a bit of supernatural power showed up. An ordinary cloudy day lit up like a sparkling ray of sunshine hope. A message appeared, as if to prove that we really do have a guiding force, a nudge, a feeling, or sometimes even — solid, concrete information presented to us that we are supported and on the right path.

The one-to-one hour together holds a conversation about Lucy’s goals, a guided meditation, and then to creatively visualize what it feels like: to step into a future that is already there. We chat about Lucy’s life and her work goals. As well as raising two daughters, she holds a degree in Art History and a CPA in Acounting, she is passionate about the combination of Art and Finance.

Dreams on Hold?

Lucy holds a dream to write a book that combines Art and Finance. As part of working towards her dream, she writes for a big art museum. In her role as a docent she writes articles, she expresses,

“It’s just an internal publication. I’m not sure it’s worth the effort?”

She goes on to say,

I also submitted an article to a magazine that I thought for sure they would publish, as it was a perfect combination of exactly what they were looking for, and they turned me down— I feel so frustrated and I think I may be on the wrong path.”

After some discussion on why these obstacles occurred and what she could do about it, we decided to step into the playground of creative visualization.

Lucy was looking for an answer— “Should I follow my dream of writing, or let it go?”

We then spent a good 40 minutes, in guided meditation, journaling and finally dipping into a very visual creative visualization session. We ended the hour, and I promised to check in next week.

A Moment of Magic Appears

Four hours after our session, I receive an email.

“Guess what?”

Lucy writes, “A funny thing just happened. I received an email from the Docent publication saying the Museum Library wants all past and current docent publications for its records — and they are making them available to the public! I take this message as quite timely encouragement to stay on my path.”

As I write back, I tell her reading her news, an overwhelming feeling of gratitude turns into (tears streaming down my face) feeling the deep conviction — she received her answer.

Hope and Comfort

Through sharing this, I strongly believe this story brings hope and comfort to us all. What a delightful bit of magic, the speedy and concrete delivery of Lucy’s question answered, can assure us all.

We are not alone, and we are supported on our journey through life.
