As we move into weeks of —“home sheltering “ and Covid-19 cases surpass 1 million globally, I feel waves of helplessness, what can I do to contribute?

Staying home is the best action and defense for us all, and the great news is, people are really doing it, and it appears to be working. Today, even though the virus tolls are peaking, in other areas I read the curve is flattening.

Sarah, Allie and I came up with an idea, to do something special, because sometimes it’s the little things that keep you going. We chose to focus on nurses, see Halo Effect.

HOW WILL WE DO THIS

To send our appreciation to nurses out there, doing their job, because that’s what nurses do— we are offering a necklace or bracelet, each week to a nurse, until this pandemic settles down or our stock is depleted.

If you know of a nurse you want this gift sent to, or if you want us to go choose one from our list. We will be asking for photos and comments from the nurses who receive one.

We are launching the project this week with a special group of critical care RN’s who have volunteered to leave their home hospital and work in a New Jersey’s hospital war zone.
