AFRICA: MASAI MARA ANIMAL MESSENGERS

King of the Mara

King of the Mara

The first night in Africa we stayed in a hotel in Nairobi as we arrived too late (3 of 4 flights) to continue traveling on. That night my dream was vivid. I woke up thinking was this for real or was I dreaming?

In my dream I met a male lion in the garden. At first I was taken aback, and then I relaxed and realized he was my friend. He let me stroke his fur as we looked deeply beyond our eyes and into each others soul. We had found a new friend in each other.

As we entered the Masai Mara for our photographic safari, the first animal we saw? This regal and majestic King of the Mara.

The next day we came across the sweetest babies playing around while their mama was out looking for breakfast. The first thought that crossed my mind? My three kids hanging together while I am out making a grocery store run.

This mama and her baby seemed to resonate, Healthy Mother Healthy Child.

And, the real reason I came to Africa was to celebrate my dear friend’s wedding.

My trip to Africa left me with many messages and dreams.  I would rate this experience as a “GAME CHANGER” kind of trip. My take-home message after spending time with such humble, wise and natural people? Live life as SIMPLE AND NATURAL as we can.  Look DEEPLY into your friends and families eyes. And, I will be using the mantra “LESS IS MORE” for my days back here in Houston.

AFFIRM: I LIVE A SIMPLE AND NATURAL LIFE.
