“something that sparkles and brings a sense of enchantment”

I hear Elizabeth’s words above in my head, and also to trust, choose what feels right as I wander through the endless rows of the enormous Houston Gem Show. The plethora of gemstones, crystals, and geodes is overwhelming.

I have one task – to find new gems that speak to a Santa Fe clientele, a spiritual traveler meandering up Canyon Road, in search of a treasured keepsake.

A new collection for the eclectic Gallerie 520 on Canyon Road. I want to create a story behind the collection which combines the intention of The Jewelry Project and also resonates with the respected Santa Fe art scene.

This is my first solo trip to the Gem Show without Elizabeth, head designer, by my side. The pressure builds. I find myself feeling dizzy from all the different stones, cuts, and prices. What do I choose?

It always seems to be in moments of weakness that we often find our strength. I take a step back from the chaos around me and remember to trust my inner guidance. I know I will find the right piece.

A collection inspired by Santa Fe. The Land of Enchantment.

And finally, a ring design Elizabeth always dreamed of creating. Inspired by the Ayuverdic benefits of a gemstone in contact with your skin.

We have a deep admiration for budding artists and supporting local which is why we chose to give a portion of proceeds from the Santa Fe Collection to the New Mexico Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts.

The NMC Scholarship Program supports the NMWA mission of supporting emerging female artists in New Mexico.
