Whenever you find yourself stressed take a few moments to be with your breath.</p>
<p><strong>Be with your body and your breath</strong></p>
<p>Simply lie flat with your hands at your sides, and relax. Bring all of your awareness to your body. Just think about what you can feel. Feel your feet touching the ground. Feel your bottom sitting in your chair, your head and neck in line with your spine. Now bring your attention to your breath. Notice that you are breathing. Begin to feel your breath moving in and out. Watch your breath, watch it move deeply, slowly, and gently, in and out as your body begins to relax and let go.</p>
<p><strong>If your mind wanders</strong></p>
<p>If your mind wanders off, gently and firmly bring your attention back to your breathing and body awareness practice. Relax and be fully present for fifteen minutes (or even just a few minutes). You will be amazed how this simple practice can make a big difference. Do it now!</p>

<p>This is how I felt when I recently came across the site-<a href="http://www.mnn.com/"> Mother Nature Network (MNN)</a>. I also discovered one of their writers  <a href="http://www.mnn.com/featured-blogs/greenparenting">Jen Savadge </a>who writes about green parenting, raising eco-friendly kids and she had this to say about <a href="http://www.mnn.com/family/raising-a-family/blogs/finding-a-moments-peace">Finding A Moment&#8217;s Peace</a></p>

Just as Sam’s illness provided me an opportunity to shift my perspective and live in a new way&#8211; perhaps the biggest problem in your life right now is actually an opportunity, your version of my challenge, just waiting to lead you into a new place.</p>
<p>Think for a moment about something or someone in your life that drives you crazy, something that really makes you nuts or gets right under your skin&#8230;</p>
<p>Have you got it?</p>
<p>Know this very issue, this annoyance or problem, is actually your ticket to a better life. This situation is in your life, “in your face” for a reason. The reason is for you to discover, to learn, and to grow.</p>

<p>I want to offer you my strong belief that as mothers we need to nurture ourselves, and teach you how to get out of your own way, as I did in working at the hospital, and tap into your intuitive natural core of strength. How do we do that?</p>
<p>Today, allow yourself to “feel” more of what is around you. Notice smells, sights, sounds, conversations&#8211;how do  they make you feel?</p>
<p>When you begin to “read between the lines,” perhaps you will get your first taste of feeling less tense and more relaxed and at ease. Noticing is the first step. This experience you are about to embark on will gently take you by the hand and allow you to step into a new place. A space that is comfortable, peaceful, easy, and most importantly doable. It will teach you how to look at life with fresh eyes, empowering you to change the way you respond to your environment.</p>

<p><strong>Moment&#8217;s Peace Daily Inspiration #1 Can YOU be Open to Wonder?</strong></p>
<p>Can you be open to wonder? open to the idea that you may know more than you think?</p>
<p>You don’t need to tell me: A mother’s love reaches beyond any logical boundaries. Most mothers would sacrifice their very lives to protect the life of their child. How is it, then, that we miss the bigger picture, the weaving of our interconnected lives, in forgetting to nurture our own well-being?</p>
<p><strong> </strong>I believe it rests in our attempts to be selfless, quickly pulling on one thread instead of patiently working on an interconnected piece of art. In doing so, we somehow miss the beauty of the whole tapestry. In attempting to tend to everyone else first—when inside we are falling apart—eventually, over time, we lose our capacity to be strong for anyone.The good news is it doesn’t have to be this way.We all have a choice. You have a choice.</p>
