Passionate to educate and inspire

Through her experience as an ICU nurse, mother of three, yoga instructor and author, Elizabeth believes we can create a healthier, happier way of being from the inside out and raise families who care—about themselves, about each other, and about the world around them.
With twenty-five years’ experience as a health care professional, her passion lies in integrative health education. Focused on family wellness, she encourages women to reclaim the healing wisdom in their own body and believes when a woman changes her life for the better, her entire family benefits.

The author of Healthy Mother Healthy Child: Creating Whole Families from the Inside Out and A Moment’s Peace: A Mom’s Guide to Creating Calm Amidst Chaos, she lives with her family in Houston, Texas.

  • Her work has appeared or been profiled in hundreds of articles about healthy living, alternative therapies and mother & child for national magazines, newspapers, and websites, such as Parent’s Ask (3 million target specific mom viewers) Health Central (11 million viewers), The Washington Post and Houston Chronicle newspapers, Positive Health, Yoga & Health, Texas Family Magazine, Houston Parent & Family, Pause magazines, and the American Cancer Society’s Choose You campaign. She has appeared on television 25 times in the past 2 years and recently the Living Smart show for PBS.
  • Member of Dr Andrew Weil’s Weil Lifestyle Team. Editorial director and content for the division of Weil Lifestyle’s Weil Baby. Elizabeth Irvine serves as educational partner for Dr. Andrew Weil’s Weil Baby and proudly shares his commitment to advance integrative medicine. Her specialty lies in educating mothers on how to create a natural healthy lifestyle for themselves, their babies, and generations to come.
  • While in private practice Elizabeth developed a specific wellness protocol to alleviate symptoms related to ADD, hyperactivity, allergies, obesity, sleep disorders and anxiety benefiting children and their parents in managing these issues.
  • As a spokesperson and subject matter expert for healthy living, Irvine has obtained sponsorship from companies such as Luna Bar, Rescue Remedy, Trane Allergy-Filtration System and Mighty Leaf Tea.
  • More than 15 years experience teaching yoga: including mother/child workshops, children’s summer yoga programs, and adult workshops. Wrote and produced yoga video, “Yoga for Healthy Mother & Child” distribute throughout the UK.
  • Created and presented a Healthy Living Lecture Series for Fortune 500 Companies; Deloitte, JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch.

Irvine’s career began with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas. After moving to London, Irvine became a Registered Sick Children’s Nurse for the UK Council of Nursing and Midwifery, and then received certification from the American Society of Obstetrics as a childbirth educator and yoga education through the Bihar School of Yoga in Munger, India. Taken holistically, this path provided a foundation for her work today.
